Dario Weißmann

I recently finished my PhD at the University of Duisburg-Essen primarily advised by Prof.  Georg Hein and secondarily by Prof.  Jochen Heinloth. From the 1st of April 2024 I will be a postdoc at the University of Pisa.

My research interests lie in algebraic geometry in arbitrary characterstic. Specifically, stacks and moduli of vector bundles, algebraic fundamental groups, schematic moduli spaces, and Higgs bundles.

I particularly enjoy a formal/categorical point of view.

You can find a list of my preprints on arxiv:

  • A functorial approach to the stability of vector bundles, 2022, arXiv.2211.08260

  • A stacky approach to identifying the semistable locus of bundles, joint with Xucheng Zhang, 2023, arXiv.2302.09245, to appear in Algebraic Geometry.

  • Stratifying the moduli space of stable vector bundles by decomposition type, 2023, arXiv.2308.06778
